The Renowned Musician Urges Public Help to Send Together for Palestine Lullaby to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to launch a traditional song from Palestine to the peak of the festive singles chart. The campaign seeks to provide aid to communities in Gaza while also spotlighting Palestinian culture and creativity.

An Opportunity for Unity and an "Surprise Victory"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an surprise number one.

“That would be amazing if that came to pass, yes,” he commented. “I wouldn't be completely let down if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a unique phenomenon.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the adaptation of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's resilient spirit.

“It has a profound significance for a lot of people,” Barghouti shared. “It’s basically saying that I would choose to perish with honor than exist without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we seek to lead a life of dignity that we merit as a people.”

Production History and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down following a large-scale benefit event held in late summer. Initially planned to be done as a live recording, the rendition was omitted from the lengthy event due to the event running long.

The impressive roster of musicians appearing on Lullaby includes a group of acclaimed names from the industry. All were part of the earlier concert, which managed to collect a significant sum for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a trio of producers and composers. The song showcases a combination of the original Arabic with new English lyrics.

The organizers behind the initiative have stated that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a specific fund. These proceeds will be distributed to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“There is no a fixed goal,” a figure said. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Naturally, the greater the amount, the better. It all goes out to the people of Gaza.”

The context in the region was described as its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of property described as destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what truly matters is above all spreading knowledge of this plight and demonstrating the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released at the end of the week. Additionally, a complete film of the solidarity show will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from the 19th of December.
